It all started unexpectedly during a boating trip in August of 2017 through the Caribbean when rough seas and rainstorms interrupted our plans. Determined to make the most of our family vacation, we improvised and set our sights on exploring the vast, relatively unknown island of South Andros.
It was there that Bryan and I stumbled upon a hidden gem nestled on the secluded island —a neglected resort dating back to the 1960s. Simply put, it was love at first sight!
Inspired by the untapped potential of the property and the unparalleled beauty of its surroundings, we made the spontaneous decision to purchase the land and get to work with its transformation. We knew that with a little vision and a lot of hard work, this small piece of paradise could be so much more. So naturally, we returned home to Canada and set our plans in motion. Our goal - to restore this small piece of paradise and share it with the world. Our journey became the central premise of a new HGTV series, "Island of Bryan" / "Renovation Island." This serendipitous encounter laid the foundation for what would become, Caerula Mar Club.
Despite facing setbacks from hurricanes and the pandemic throughout our journey, Caerula Mar Club stands today as a testament to our vision and determination—a five-star oasis boasting just 23 keys, where modern touch meets the natural allure of the Bahamas.
With a design ethos centered around neutral hues and timeless elegance, Caerula Mar Club seamlessly blends into its natural surroundings, offering guests a serene escape from everyday life. From the private villas to Clubhouse Suites, every aspect of our resort reflects a commitment to sustainability and a deep appreciation for the nature it sits in. At the heart of Caerula Mar Club lies our dedication to preserving the island's status as a minimally-developed sanctuary, allowing guests to reconnect with nature and experience a sense of peace and tranquility that are increasingly rare in today's world. Beyond its pristine beaches and turquoise waters, the resort offers a range of amenities, including a spa, fitness center, and diverse culinary experiences, something that was very important to Bryan and I. Our culinary team creates new menus daily which are a combination of international and local dishes, focusing on fresh high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. No two dinners at Caerula Mar Club are ever the same and we pride ourselves in that!
